Comprehensive Standard Cell Design Specialist

Develop and optimize a standard cell library from the ground up, integrating existing libraries and driving continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and refine PPA (Power, Performance, Area) trade-offs by assessing various cell circuit architectures in real-world usage scenarios.
  • Collaborate with the layout team to define floor plans and layout guidelines for schematics, ensuring optimal design through thorough layout reviews.
  • Design combinatorial, power management, and sequential circuits using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
  • Verify the functionality, performance, and power of developed circuits, guaranteeing they meet industry standards.
  • Generate characterization views for libraries across multiple custom PVT (Process, Voltage, Temperature) corners.
  • Model new and existing cells to facilitate seamless integration with industry-wide Place and Route (PnR), Simulation, and Signoff tools.
  • Document work processes, design flows, and reports accurately and thoroughly.
  • Automate repetitive tasks to reduce overall time and effort invested.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in working with standard EDA (Electronic Design Automation) tools such as RC-extraction, SPICE simulators, and schematic/layout editors.
  • Familiarity with views like lef, NLDM, CCS, and .LIB.
