High-Performance SAP Basis Engineer

 

SAP BASIS engineers design and implement the technical architecture of an organization's SAP landscape to meet performance, security, availability, scalability, and other requirements.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing databases for optimal performance, security, and reliability
  • Collaborating with business analysts and developers to ensure infrastructure design meets performance, security, and high availability requirements
  • Performing operational duties such as patching, environment cloning, database/application upgrades, and implementing backup and monitoring procedures
  • Analyzing performance issues in the application and database tiers of SAP installations and assisting developers with performance tuning

 

This role requires a deep understanding of SAP technology and a strong background in system administration. Strong communication skills are also necessary to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
