Job Overview

National Film Development Corporation of India, a Government Enterprise under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, is the central agency established to encourage cinema development in the country. The primary goal is to plan, promote, and organize an integrated and efficient development of the Indian film industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Protect NFDC's intellectual property assets by managing trademarks, copyrights, and other valuable resources.
  2. Conduct thorough due diligence on potential collaborations, partnerships, and projects to assess their intellectual property implications and risks.
  3. Develop effective strategies for handling legal disputes and litigation cases involving NFDC, collaborating with external counsel as needed.
  4. Oversee all aspects of litigation cases, including drafting essential documents, coordinating court appearances, and preparing witnesses and evidence.
  5. Engage in settlement negotiations to minimize potential risks and ensure optimal outcomes.
  6. Resolve intellectual property disputes through negotiation, mediation, or litigation, always prioritizing the best interests of the organization.
  7. Ensure impeccable contract work by overseeing drafting and execution processes.
  8. Monitor changes in relevant legislation and regulatory environments to stay informed and adapt accordingly.
Designational Responsibilities:
  1. Make critical decisions related to IPR and other court cases, exercising sound judgment and expertise.
  2. Reporting and Metrics: Develop plans to achieve team targets, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  3. Staff Training and Development: Identify training needs and support personnel development, ensuring employees are equipped to excel in their roles.
  • Conduct in-depth intellectual property research and analysis, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Draft and review IP agreements, licenses, and assignments, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Manage and oversee litigation matters, applying expertise and knowledge to drive successful outcomes.
  • Analyze legal risks and develop litigation budgets, maintaining fiscal responsibility and prudence.
  • Focus on financial ethics, transparency, and accountability, upholding the highest standards of professional conduct.
  • Review and prepare legal and regulatory documents, guaranteeing compliance and adherence to regulations.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, effectively conveying complex ideas and concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Solve complex company secretariat issues, showcasing expertise and ingenuity.
Educational Qualification:

Master in Law (LLM). Experience:8 years of relevant experience in private or public sectors.Required Skills:
