Job Title: Intellectual Property Lawyer
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced intellectual property lawyer to join our team. As an Associate, you will play a key role in supporting senior lawyers in handling various legal matters related to trademarks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prosecute trademark applications and oppositions independently.
- Manage trademark portfolios of clients, including docketing and routine follow-ups.
- Conduct trademark searches and provide opinions to clients.
- Provide strategic advice on contentious/dispute matters involving trademarks.
- Represent clients at official hearings in the Registry for trademark application and opposition proceedings.
- Coordinate with Trademarks Registries for disposal of requests filed in pre-registration and post-registration stages.
- Develop strategies for trademark portfolios of clients.
- Address non-contentious trademark issues.
Additional Desired Experience:
- Experience in domain disputes, prosecution of UDRP and INDRP complaints.
- Expertise in providing opinions regarding domain disputes, cybercrime involving trademarks, cybersquatting.
- Representation in official hearings in IPAB for trademark disputes involving rectification/cancellation actions and appeals.
- Court representation pertaining to infringement and passing off.
- Conducting raids, search, and seizure operations.
- Prosecution of design and copyright registration; provision of expert opinions on dispute involving copyrights and designs.
