Senior Architectural Specialist

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of architectural designs and project completion processes.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct a thorough analysis of architectural plans and designs
• Evaluate the suitability of designs against industry standards and government regulations
• Research and source various materials for construction projects
• Serve as a supervisor to junior architects, assigning tasks and providing guidance
• Organize and lead skill enhancement workshops for team members
• Collaborate with clients to explain design requirements and specifications
• Communicate project status and completion timelines to stakeholders
• Develop building models and structure plans using architectural software
• Host mockup sessions to test and refine designs
• Oversee construction projects from initiation to completion
• Present project briefs to clients and stakeholders
• Understand client preferences and environmental factors affecting construction projects
• Create blueprints and make adjustments based on client feedback
• Ensure project development adheres to specified budget and timeline
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress
• Develop and interpret structural designs while mentoring, managing, and advising team members
• Guarantee high-quality, innovative, and functional design throughout the project lifecycle
• Demonstrate creativity, foresight, and architectural expertise in developing solutions
• Produce construction documents using REVIT software
• Familiarize yourself with construction assemblies and best practices
• Collaborate with consultants and other disciplines to coordinate design and equipment
• Research and select building products, composing written specifications
• Participate in project meetings, documenting discussions through meeting minutes
• Engage in quality assurance/quality control review sessions at project milestones
• Compile documentation required for submission to Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for review and approval
• Track submissions and respond to comments and requests from AHJs as needed
• Manage the project through the Construction Administration phase by routing RFIs and shop drawings to relevant team members
• Travel to project sites to observe construction progress and compose field reports
• Continuously learn and stay updated on new systems, methods, and sustainable practices
• Support strategic goals of the organization, understanding how your actions contribute to them
• Exercise self-motivation, working independently and in teams to maintain positive relationships with colleagues

• Maintain Client standards and quality control throughout projects
• Assist Project Managers in setting scope and budget
• Represent client interests in public hearings and meetings
• Be capable of serving as the main point of contact for projects or running projects independently
• Provide full CA services and assist in proposal preparation
• Run projects with minimal oversight from Project Managers or Principals
• Deliver production-ready designs, CDs, and specifications
• Complete project scope within allotted time and budget
• Manage the permitting process and respond to comments
• Coordinate bidding procedures
• Offer field assistance with CA services
• Research and apply applicable codes, communicating with AHJs as necessary
• Collaborate with other disciplines, leading kickoff meetings
• Serve as the primary point of contact with limited input from Project Managers or Principals
• Coordinate owner revisions, RFIs, and AHJ comments
• Facilitate peer review and quality control of documents
• Design and produce architectural designs, CDs, and specifications
• Verify completed work against markups prior to returning it to Project Administrators
• Incorporate Client drafting standards and conventions into CDs
• Prepare plans and details from sketches or redlines
