Job Title: Cloudflare WAF Specialist

We are currently seeking a skilled Cloudflare WAF specialist to fill the role of managing cloud security for our applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Cloudflare WAF rules, page shields, and threat intelligence filters to ensure maximum protection for our applications.
  • Tune policies to reduce false positives and enable protection against OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor web traffic anomalies, bot activity, and take preventive actions to prevent potential threats.
  • Integrate WAF alerts with central SIEM/SOC for real-time visibility into application security.
  • Collaborate with app teams to validate WAF configurations before production rollout, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Troubleshoot WAF blocks, performance issues, and content caching anomalies to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain access control, rate limiting, and geo-restriction rules to ensure secure application deployment.
  • Generate reports for application owners and participate in threat modeling exercises to identify potential vulnerabilities.
  • Assist in rule set upgrades, custom signatures, and API security enhancements to stay ahead of emerging threats.

Required Skills & Certifications:

  • Hands-on experience with Cloudflare WAF or equivalent technologies (e.g., Akamai, AWS WAF).
  • Understanding of web protocols, application headers, and TLS encryption.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines and app security standards to ensure secure application development.
