Job Title: Senior Information Security Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the overall security and compliance posture of our organization. This includes designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust information security program that addresses emerging threats and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive security policies and procedures to ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security threats and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement secure network architectures and systems.
  • Provide guidance on incident response and disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity in the event of a security breach or system failure.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, board members, and external auditors, to ensure effective communication of security-related matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security trends and technologies, and recommend new solutions and approaches to enhance our security posture.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on security best practices and phishing awareness.
  • Participate in penetration testing and vulnerability management efforts to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
  • Coordinate and manage CEII compliance activities.
  • Perform continuous monitoring of controls and report on security metrics to senior management.
  • Design and build dashboards to track security incidents, vulnerabilities, risks, and awareness.
  • Drive vulnerability remediations within prescribed timeframes.
  • Inventory management and reporting.
  • Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) updates and submissions.
  • System Security Status reporting.
  • Monthly Continuous-Monitoring Metrics reporting.
  • Compliance review of Significant change requests.
