Senior Java Spring Developer

This role takes a lead in delivering complex application development services, collaborating with project teams or as part of an application support team. Developers analyze, design, code, test and implement systematic solutions to meet customer needs that adhere to IT standards and policies. They provide general support to maintain applications that meet service levels, system availability, performance and quality required by customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Takes a lead role for analyzing, designing, coding, testing and implementing complex application enhancements, providing production support, meeting defined scope, target dates and minimal defects.
  • Utilizes the full system development life cycle, per current SDLC standards.
  • Collaborates with customers, business analysts, partners and IT team members to understand business requirements driving analysis and design of technical solutions, focusing on innovative solutions to complex business needs.
  • Provides technical support, including release implementations, on-call and 24x7 supports when necessary.
  • Works in compliance with all company and IT standards, policies and procedures.
  • Participates on project teams in various roles, including Developer, Technical Lead and Project Manager, based on experience.
  • Communicates effectively with team members, customers, partners and management, including conducting technical walkthroughs, reporting project status and providing documentation.

Role Specific Expectations:

  • Candidate with 7+ years of experience in Java/Spring development.
  • Exposure to Microservices architecture with REST API.
  • Hands-on experience in devops tools like Git, Gradle.
  • Design to deployment of a microservices application knowledge.
  • Handled NFR development.
  • Good communication skills required for interaction with architects.
  • Basic Python knowledge is an added advantage.
  • Performed design patterns for web application development and integrating front-end/backend applications.
  • Knowledge on cloud SDK in GCP preferred and experience in GCP tools like Cloud Run, Firestore, App Engine, Cloud function.
  • Participated in code review, design review for deliverables from the team.
  • Experience in analyzing sonarqube static code analysis is a must.
