Job Title: Marine Operations Specialist

Job Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Mumbai, overseeing daily operations of the fleet. The Marine Operations Specialist will coordinate with various departments to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The role involves managing documentation, liaising with clients, and supporting the team in achieving operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include:

  • To monitor daily noon reports/position reports and coordinate with the master of the vessels.
  • To collect cargo documents from the vessel at every load/discharge port.
  • To evaluate and analyze vessel performance in the charterer's performance format.
  • To prepare freight invoices and demurrage claims as per the charter party and follow up with charterers for timely payment.
  • To ensure deck and engine logs (containing sea passage performance) are sent to the charterers within stipulated time.
  • To raise monthly charter hire invoices, freight invoices, bunker reimbursement invoices, and demurrage invoices to charterers and/or brokers – timely submission and follow-ups.

Assist vessel Operation Superintendent in day-to-day work for smooth operation of vessels. Agency selection, appointment, and approval of agent's PDA and FDA are also part of the role.
