Python Software Test Engineer Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Python software test engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing and a passion for automation.

  2. Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Python/Java and Selenium WebDriver.
  3. Automate functional, regression, API, and integration test cases.
  4. Perform REST/SOAP Web API testing using tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or Python requests libraries.
  5. Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing within the CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).
  6. Ensure testing is aligned with Agile/DevOps principles and shift-left testing strategies.
  7. Conduct performance, compatibility, and reliability testing where applicable.
  8. Write and review test plans, test cases, and test scripts for coverage and traceability.
  9. Support DevOps testing by automating infrastructure validation, smoke testing in cloud deployments, and monitoring pipelines.
  10. Participate in code reviews, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement discussions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Programming: Strong hands-on experience in Python (mandatory) and working knowledge of Java.
  • Automation: Solid experience with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Pytest, or Robot Framework.
  • Web API Testing: Experience with RESTful/SOAP APIs, using Postman, Rest Assured, or Python libraries.
  • DevOps & CI/CD: Hands-on with Jenkins, GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar tools.
  • Version Control: Git/GitHub/GitLab experience is essential.
  • Database Testing: Knowledge of SQL queries for data validation.
  • Agile Practices: Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong Problem-Solving: Skills.
