Job Opportunity: Service Sales Specialist (Loads)

Job Description:

A key member of our global and cross-functional team will simulate the site-specific benefit of our upgrade portfolio, verifying the structural integrity (mechanical loads) of installed wind turbines. This individual will work closely with customers, various Service regions, and headquarter functions such as Engineering Load Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Re-assess existing/planned wind farms using an internal tool chain to confirm compatibility and turbine-specific structural integrity
  • Assess site-specific wind conditions, apply mechanical load mitigation strategies, run bucket approaches, assess lifetime extension possibilities, and obtain approvals
  • Support upgrades sales by creating benefit calculations, driving validation campaigns, and implementing upgrades
  • Collaborate with global service regions and after-sales colleagues to convince customers and stakeholders, enabling successful product sales
  • Have a measurable impact on the global Service business unit's performance
  • Build a large network within the company and industry to stay up-to-date on new technological developments
  • Represent the team in strategic discussions and development decision meetings

Career/Job Requirements:

  • Completed university studies in engineering (B.E or equivalent) or a Business/Economics degree with a strong technical background
  • 5-10 years of experience in wind & site assessments, mechanical loads department, or equal technical service organisations in the wind energy industry
  • Highly analytical with a holistic approach and strong problem-solving skills
  • Self-driven, focused, and pragmatic with demonstrated ability to bring topics to success in complex environments
  • Optional: knowledge of wind turbine technology (site assessment, wind turbine control, load calculation, aerodynamics, etc.)
  • Optional: WindPRO and Python experience
  • Fluent in English; German is an advantage

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or related field
  • Excellent communication skills
  • wind & site assessments, mechanical loads department, or equal technical service organisations in the wind energy industry
