API Developer "Hybrid" Specialist

We are looking for an experienced API developer who can work with our hybrid architecture to design, develop, and deploy high-performance APIs using Apigee Hybrid and Apigee X.

  • Design and implement robust API proxies, shared flows, and custom policies using JavaScript.
  • Implement secure communication protocols such as OAuth2, JWT, mTLS, OKTA, and Basic Auth.
  • Manage API versioning, developer portals, and apply API governance best practices.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of IT-relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems).
  • OR 5+ years of IT-relevant work experience without a Bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years of any combination of academic or work experience with Full-stack Application Development (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.).
  • 1+ year of any combination of academic or work experience with Data Structures, algorithms, and data stores.
Desirable Skills
  • 4-6 years of API development and API management experience.
  • 4+ hands-on experience with Apigee Hybrid or Apigee X.
  • Experience in managing Apigee in multi-region setups.
  • Strong expertise in REST API standards and design.
  • Proficiency in OAuth2, JWT, TLS/mTLS, and traffic management policies.
