Designing and implementing scalable data architectures to drive business value is a critical role in our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex data pipelines that ensure high performance and optimal infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select and integrate Big Data tools and frameworks to meet business requirements.
  • Maintain data pipelines through ETL process monitoring and advise on necessary infrastructure changes.
  • Translate technical and functional requirements into detailed designs.
  • Analyze alternative solutions for data storage, processing, etc., to ensure streamlined approaches.
  • Serve as a mentor to junior staff through technical training sessions and reviewing project outputs.
Required Skills
  • Data warehousing and modeling techniques.
  • Distributed computing principles (Hadoop v2, MapReduce, HDFS).
  • Data engineering skills on GCP cloud platforms (Airflow, Cloud Composer, Data Fusion, Data Flow, Data Proc, Big Query).
  • Building stream-processing systems using Storm or Spark-Streaming.
  • Big Data querying tools (Pig, Hive, Impala).
  • Experience with Spark, SQL, and Linux.
  • Variety of ETL techniques and frameworks (Flume, Apache NiFi, DBT).
  • Messaging systems (Kafka or RabbitMQ).
  • Lambda Architecture understanding, along with its advantages and drawbacks.
