Network Security Architect Role

We seek a skilled Network Security Architect to design and oversee secure network infrastructures. This pivotal role involves working with cutting-edge security technologies, ensuring robust protection of digital assets, and contributing to business objectives through expert analysis, strategic design, rigorous implementation oversight, and advanced troubleshooting within the Network Security Architecture domain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Security Architecture Design: Lead comprehensive network security architectures, strategies, and roadmaps that align with business goals, industry best practices, and regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
  • Solution Evaluation & Selection: Evaluate, select, and recommend network security technologies and solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, zero-trust network access, SASE, DDoS mitigation, and network access control.
  • Policy & Standards Development: Define and enforce network security policies, standards, and guidelines across the organization, ensuring secure configurations and operational procedures.
  • Security Assessment & Risk Management: Conduct thorough security assessments, vulnerability analyses, and risk evaluations of network infrastructure. Identify potential threats and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Implementation Oversight: Provide technical leadership and guidance to implementation teams, ensuring that network security solutions are deployed effectively and adhere to architectural designs.
  • Incident Response Support: Collaborate with the Security Operations Center (SOC) and incident response teams to provide architectural insights during security incidents and post-incident analysis.
  • Cloud Security Integration: Design secure network architectures for cloud environments, integrating cloud-native security services with on-premise security solutions.
  • Troubleshooting & Optimization: Act as a subject matter expert for complex network security issues, providing advanced troubleshooting support and recommending architectural improvements for ongoing optimization.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain high-level and low-level network security architectural diagrams, design documents, and technical specifications.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing a wide range of network security technologies and solutions. They will also possess proven ability to translate complex business and security requirements into scalable, resilient, and secure network architectures.

Other key qualifications include deep technical knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and common network services. Experience with network security concepts and implementation within major cloud platforms is also highly desirable.

Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and regulations, such as NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and GDPR, is necessary. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, along with outstanding verbal and written communication skills, are required.

Industry certifications such as CCNP Security, CISSP, or similar are highly desirable.
