Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our pharmaceutical procurement efforts. The Manager - Pharmaceutical Procurement will be responsible for developing and executing a centralized procurement strategy for pharmaceutical products across all trust hospitals.

This role involves negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms with pharmaceutical manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers. The successful candidate will also manage vendor relationships, evaluate supplier performance, and conduct market analysis for competitive pricing and product availability.

Additionally, the Manager - Pharmaceutical Procurement will oversee centralized warehouse operations for pharmaceutical storage and distribution. This includes implementing inventory management systems, optimizing stock levels, and minimizing wastage.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceutical procurement, preferably in hospital/healthcare settings. They should possess excellent negotiation and vendor relationship management skills, as well as problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute centralized procurement strategy for pharmaceutical products across all trust hospitals.
  2. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with pharmaceutical manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers.
  3. Manage vendor relationships and evaluate supplier performance.
  4. Conduct market analysis for competitive pricing and product availability.
  5. Oversee centralized warehouse operations for pharmaceutical storage and distribution.
Requirements
  • B.Pharmacy or M.Pharmacy (preferred)
  • MBA in Supply Chain/Operations Management (advantageous)
  • 8-12 years in pharmaceutical procurement, preferably in hospital/healthcare settings
  • Experience with centralized procurement operations
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical supply chain and distribution networks
