Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Kafka Migration Specialist to lead the design and implementation of automated migration pipelines for our enterprise Kafka workloads. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in Apache Kafka administration and migration, as well as expertise in CI/CD tools, infrastructure-as-code, and containerization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automated migration pipelines for enterprise Kafka workloads
  • Develop scalable CI/CD processes for Kafka resource provisioning and configuration rollouts
  • Integrate with cloud orchestration platforms (AWS MSK, Kubernetes operators)
  • Develop custom plugins for Kafka Connect as part of migration workflows
  • Automate testing and validation of migrated systems

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka administration and migration
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
  • Expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash)
  • Knowledge of Kafka Connect custom plugin API
  • Containerization skills (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Monitoring and validation tool expertise (Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Ability to automate rollback and validation steps
  • Exposure to cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
