Accounting Operations Trainee Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Operations Trainee to assist with the Accounts Payable function. This role will provide support to identify and implement AP improvements, ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail. Proficiency in MS Excel and Word is required, while ERP knowledge (SAP or PeopleSoft) is an added advantage.

  • Support the Accounts Payable team in processing invoices, verifying financial data, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist in reviewing and reconciling vendor statements to ensure timely payments.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to optimize AP efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Relevant work experience in accounting or finance.
Preferred qualifications

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
