Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled data engineer to fill a critical role in our organization. As a data engineer, you will play a key part in designing and implementing scalable data solutions in the cloud using cutting-edge technologies like PySpark, AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and more.

Main Responsibilities

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain robust ETL pipelines using PySpark and AWS Glue to ensure efficient data processing.
  • High-Quality Data Provision: Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to guarantee timely availability of high-quality data.
  • SQL Query Optimization: Write and optimize SQL queries for efficient data transformation and storage.
  • Code Collaboration and Management: Utilize Git for version control and code collaboration to ensure smooth teamwork.
  • Scalable Data Storage: Design and manage scalable data lakes using AWS S3 and related services.
  • Advanced Data Analytics: Work with Amazon DynamoDB and Redshift for high-performance data storage and leverage Amazon QuickSight for interactive dashboards.
  • Workflows Automation: Automate workflows with AWS Step Functions, Lambda, and EventBridge.
  • Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor and optimize data workflows for performance and scalability, and troubleshoot data issues as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Strong hands-on experience with PySpark, Python, and SQL; proficiency in Git and AWS services (Glue, S3, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, DynamoDB, etc.).
  • Desirable Skills: Familiarity with Databricks and its ecosystem, knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling, exposure to big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark, and AWS certifications in data engineering.
