AVS Infrastructure Architect Position

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an AVS Infrastructure Architect, responsible for designing and implementing scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions using Azure VMware Solution and VMware vSphere. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with customers and stakeholders to understand their business requirements and develop tailored solutions that meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with program managers and service delivery teams to plan, architect, and guide complex infrastructure deployments and migrations for large enterprise customers.
  • Work directly with customer application infrastructure and security stakeholders to define requirements, strategy, and processes for successful design, deployment, and migration.
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest Azure AVS and VMware products to propose designs to customers and act as a subject matter expert trainer for other specialists.
  • Share knowledge with others through solution documents, engage technical communities, build automated self-help solutions, and create training materials.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant experience in architecting and designing datacentre and cloud infrastructures using VMware and Microsoft technologies.
  • Knowledge and implementation experience designing and developing solutions using VMware's Core Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of Azure VMware Solution, VMware vSphere 6.0 and above, and VMware NSXT network virtualization technologies, including NSX edge services, DNS, DHCP, Gateway, Firewall, Distributed Firewall, and NSX implementation and migration from VLAN or NSXv.
  • Experience with on-premise to cloud or cloud-to-cloud migrations with VMware HCX, and relevant Azure technologies such as Azure ExpressRoute, Azure VPN, Azure Virtual WAN, and Azure Route Server.
  • Preferred qualifications include VMware VCDX-DCV, DCVCMA, CCNP, and VCP-NV certifications.

Education and Training:

  • BS or postgraduate degree in Computer Science or a technology-focused discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • VCDX-DCV, DCVCMA certification is preferred but not required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with enterprise customers on Azure-specific solutions and deployment.
  • Excellent customer service skills, good oral and written communication skills, and proven ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations involving critical and politically charged customer situations.
