About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer to join our Workflow Crew. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the architecture, design, build, and governance roadmap across the group for various workflow technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver innovative technical solutions to strategic business problems
  • Collaborate with a team of high-performing engineers to build and deploy multiple technology solutions
  • Have the ability to design and deliver technology solutions that solve complex business and technology problems from start to finish
  • Have demonstrated experience in translating the project vision into actionable plans
  • Constructively challenge the status quo while influencing stakeholders at various levels
  • Influence the future of the Group's technology and direction every day
Requirements
  • Pega CLSA Certification - Must Have
  • Excellent experience in designing and developing Pega and workflow applications
  • Excellent knowledge of integrations patterns, design, and implementation
  • Various hosting patterns like Pega SaaS, AWS, Azure
  • Cloud domain knowledge - AWS/Azure Certification (Must Have)
  • Designing, documenting, and presenting formal solution designs
  • Agile & Scrum Knowledge
  • Proficient at SQL and working with other larger volume in data
  • Knowledge of Standard industry tools for CI/CD pipeline
  • Experience with debugging and tuning performance issues
  • Solid technical background in building and designing cloud platforms using AWS
  • Thorough understanding of large-scale distributed systems, solution design, and architecture principles
  • Expertise in setting up DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, logging, and monitoring tools
  • Ability to design solutions to meet the highest possible quality standards while simultaneously balancing security, performance, availability, and maintainability concerns
  • Banking and financial services experience in a complex environment preferred

  • Review and contribute to reference architecture and platform initiative involving workflow
  • Monitor emerging technologies, industry developments, directions, and best practices
  • Provide specialised expertise and development using Java, JEE, and Pega Platform
  • Analysing systems to provide system support and recommendations for development
  • Expert troubleshooting of implementation, environment, and deployment issues
  • Establish new ways of working and promote DevOps culture of CI/CD pipelines and Automation supported by world-class tools
  • Have expertise in managing any workflow-based technical environments (preferably Pega)
  • Expertise to define and effectively communicate a long-term technical vision
