Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems, including power converters and control circuits.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Design specifications and requirements for product hardware, ensuring high-level system integration.
  2. Conduct comprehensive reviews of electrical design and firmware control to evaluate reliability and safety.
  3. Develop and implement test plans to verify compliance with electrical, environmental, and functional standards.
  4. Perform Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify potential issues and ensure product safety and liability.
  5. Coordinate and track development milestones with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.
  6. Oversee updates to Design for Excellence (DFX) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to improve efficiency.
  7. Mentor team members on design best practices, ensuring adherence to established technical standards during development.
  8. Research new concepts to guide future innovation and stay ahead of industry trends.
  9. Identify cost-competitive alternatives suitable for scaling up and improving product performance.
  10. Validate design concepts through circuit simulations and prototyping to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  11. Prepare detailed documentation, including bills of materials, circuit diagrams, simulations, design-related documents, and FMEAs, to facilitate smooth development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in Power Electronics with 8-12 years of relevant experience.
  2. Strong understanding of closed-loop control for power converters and compensator design.
  3. Hands-on experience with high-speed or high-power semiconductor devices, particularly power converter designs over 100kVA and in medium voltage applications.
  4. Solid technical knowledge and competence in system-level design.
  5. Proven track record of managing multiple power electronics projects involving analog and digital electronics as well as control circuitry.
  6. Experience in EMI filter design and product qualification/compliance testing to ensure regulatory compliance.
  7. Familiarity with circuit simulation tools like SIMULINK and proficiency in derating, FMEA, and reliability analysis.
  8. Excellent debugging and troubleshooting capabilities, with a strong focus on root cause analysis.
  9. Experience in writing technical documents, such as hardware requirements, product design specifications, test specifications, and board-level design details.
  10. Strong knowledge of component selection and system integration, with an emphasis on cost-effectiveness.
  11. Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively in an agile development model.
