Expert Commercial Contract Specialist

This is a critical role within our dynamic legal team.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Draft and negotiate terms and conditions for commercial contracts, including order forms, professional service agreements, master services agreements, statements of work, data privacy agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and more.
  • Resolve contract-related issues with other parties and internally within the organization.
  • Develop innovative solutions and draft alternative terms, working closely with attorneys within the Legal department.
  • Obtain approval for non-standard terms according to internal policies.
  • Educate internal teams to promote consistency in contract terms and legal obligations.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of administrative processes and legal documents.
  • Collaborate with other internal teams to drive process improvements and ensure an exceptional customer experience.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent, with 4-6 years' experience negotiating legal terms & conditions with clients or vendors.
  • Training or education in law, paralegal skills, negotiation, or legal writing, including certification required.
  • Familiarity with media organizations desirable.
  • Must be able and willing to work extended hours, highly proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Experience working with commercial contract management and a good level of understanding of contract and commercial law.
  • Must be adept in using digital tools, document systems, and MS Office - particularly advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.

A strong attention to detail and superior organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines. Strong communication and follow-up skills are also necessary. Remote or hybrid work arrangements may be available.
