Job Title:

Software Development Engineer in Test - Audio Experiences

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team. As an SDET, you will be responsible for building highly scaled systems that ensure Alexa continues to delight customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop quality infrastructure that encourages the optimal combination of unit/component/integration and end-to-end tests.
  • Lead the design and development of performance testing and platform verification kit.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams, driving continuous development, integration, and deployment.
  • Work with Principal Engineers and other Senior engineers to develop best practices for software quality assurance across multiple software teams.
  • Actively participate in cross-team design reviews.
  • Assist in the career development of others, actively mentoring individuals and the community.
  • Exert technical influence over multiple teams, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your deep knowledge and expertise.
  • You will have a profound impact on millions of customers.
  • Report on the status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to management.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development testing experience.
  • 3+ years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience.
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
  • Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment.
  • Experience with security in service-oriented architectures and web services.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
