Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will oversee day-to-day technical operations. This includes managing and optimizing our existing systems to ensure they are efficient and effective.

You will also be responsible for assisting in training new employees and reviewing the high-performing team. Your expertise in software development will help develop and assign work schedules/tasks, review ongoing operations, and rectify any issues that may arise.

Additionally, you will participate in design and code reviews, providing valuable feedback that can result in a better quality experience for our customers.

In this role, you will also troubleshoot and resolve production issues within agreed SLAs and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, Production support, and operations, to ensure best-in-class customer experience.

Furthermore, you will lead groups of engineers working with the Scrum Master and management to coordinate and deliver.

Finally, you will provide technical support to operations or other development teams and review the work of peers and team members.

Required Skills
  • Programming skills: High technical credibility and strong programming skills with Java EE, SQL, JavaScript, JMS, REST, and SOAP services.
  • Java frameworks: Strong experience in Java frameworks, especially Spring framework.
  • Software development principles: In-depth knowledge of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Architecture: Sound technical foundation of single and multi-tier architecture, web-based development, and Services Oriented Architecture.
  • Database skills: Proficiency in Java, Data structure and algorithms, Collections and Concurrency.
  • SQL queries: Solid experience with SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and triggers for Oracle databases.
  • Source code management tools: Proficient using source code management tools such as Git/bitbucket and build tools like Maven.
  • CICD processes: Strong knowledge and understanding of CI/CD processes and tools (Jenkin).
