Job Title: Mainframe Tester

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create test cases data and execute tests as per requirement/design.
  • Edit JCL or create JCL to submit Test Batch Jobs.
  • Aware of TSO/ISPF commands in Mainframe.
  • Analyze logs in Spool for Abended jobs and provide root cause analysis.
  • Work with IT Developer to analyze COBOL program and identify input/output files.
  • Edit Mainframe files using Layouts/Copybooks and modify data according to testing requirements.
  • Verify Database in DB2 or output files.
  • Prepare test data according to test requirements.
  • Experienced in STLC Lifecycle or Agile methodology and prepare test closure reports.

Key Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in Testing life cycle process.
  • Good knowledge in editing JCL or creating JCL.
  • Aware of TSO/ISPF commands.
  • Knowledge of analyzing logs in Spool.
  • Ability to work with IT Developer to analyze COBOL program.
  • Able to edit Mainframe files using Layouts/Copybooks.
  • Experience in STLC Lifecycle or Agile methodology.
