SAP Financial Consultant Job Description:

  • Expertise in configuring SAP FI system settings, including chart of accounts, fiscal year variants, posting periods, and currencies is required.
  • Mastery of financial transaction processing, journal entries, recurring entries, and payment processing capabilities are essential.
  • Proficient with SAP transaction codes related to FI such as FB01, F-02, F110, FBL1N, FBL5N for efficient financial operations.
  • Experience with integration of SAP FI with other modules like MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales and Distribution), and CO (Controlling) is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of SAP FI reporting and analytics, including generating financial statements and audit reports is necessary.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve SAP FI system issues and errors quickly is a must.
  • Understanding of SAP financial closing processes, including month-end and year-end closing activities is required.
  • Familiarity with SAP data migration tools like LSMW, BAPIs, and IDOCs used in FI data transfers is desirable.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements such as IFRS, GAAP, and tax laws relevant to FI configuration is essential.
  • Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance features as FI evolves on the HANA platform is necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP ECC 6.0 financial support focused on manufacturing is required.
  • Expertise in production costing, material ledger, product costing, and internal orders in manufacturing is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and implement SAP FI system settings for optimal financial performance and efficiency.
  • Analyze and resolve financial transaction processing issues promptly.
  • Develop and maintain SAP FI reporting and analytics solutions for informed decision-making.
  • Provide technical support for SAP FI system issues and errors.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and compliance requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of SAP FI modules, including General Ledger Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Asset Accounting.
  • Expertise in configuring SAP FI system settings, including chart of accounts, fiscal year variants, posting periods, and currencies.
  • Proficient with SAP transaction codes related to FI such as FB01, F-02, F110, FBL1N, FBL5N.
  • Experience with integration of SAP FI with other modules like MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales and Distribution), and CO (Controlling).
