Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned finance leader to spearhead our accounting operations. As a critical member of our team, you will be responsible for administering accounting functions, ensuring compliance with legal requirements in the US and India.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience as an accountant or financial analyst with a strong background in managing accounting activities, including MIS reporting, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

You should possess excellent organizational skills, be able to handle time-sensitive tasks, and demonstrate a passion for helping teams achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounting operations, including bookkeeping, MIS reporting, and AR/AP activities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
  • Support corporate budget and forecasting activities.
  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining high accuracy standards.
  • Advise team members on handling non-routine reporting transactions.
  • Collaborate with the company auditor to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
  • Supervise the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
  • Implement strict compliance with outlined processes and industry best practices.
  • Take ownership of your work and your team, and be accountable for meeting company obligations.

Experience and Skills

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, accounting procedures, taxation, and other statutory and legal matters.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to lead and develop others.
  • Hands-on experience in QuickBooks, Zoho, and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Immediate joiner, qualified or semi-qualified CA/CMA.
  • Experience in IT/service sector.
  • Knowledge in US and Indian taxes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Overall 4 to 7 years of experience in finance/accounts with 2-3 years of people management experience.
  • Strong financial and accounting background, with a passion for helping teams grow.
  • Commerce graduate, preferably qualified or semi-qualified CA/CMA.
