Job Title: Printed Circuit Board Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schematic Capture and Validation: Develop PCB libraries in line with organizational standards, ensuring design correctness and compliance.
  • Component Placement and Routing: Execute component placement considering electrical, DFA, and DFM constraints, and perform PCB routing with controlled impedance and length-tuning as required.
  • Power Delivery and Layer Stack-up: Develop power split plans and ensure robust design for power delivery, define and calculate layer stack-ups for various board designs.
  • DFX and SI/PI Analysis: Apply DFX guidelines during design, carry out validation reviews, and ensure compliance with SI/PI requirements through analysis and validation.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve design robustness and reliability.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • PCB Design Tools: Hands-on experience with leading PCB design tools (e.g., Allegro, Altium, Mentor Graphics).
  • Constraints Setting and Routing: Strong knowledge of constraints setting, routing, and post-layout checks.
  • Signal Integrity and Power Integrity: Experience with signal integrity and power integrity validation methodologies.
  • Multi-layer PCB Stack-up Design: Proven expertise in multi-layer PCB stack-up design and materials selection.
  • HDI Techniques and High-speed Interfaces: Familiarity with HDI techniques, blind/buried vias, and high-speed interfaces.
  • DFM, DFA, and DFT Considerations: Good understanding of DFM, DFA, and DFT considerations in PCB design.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Collaborative Environment: Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
