Executive Technical Assistant

Our team is seeking a highly skilled Executive Technical Assistant to lead and coordinate multiple applied research projects at the institute. The ideal candidate will have experience in a technical role interfacing between research/engineering teams and customer-facing teams.

The selected individual will represent PIs and scientists in project discussions, summarize, document and manage the project. They will work closely with multiple stakeholders across different organizations, collaborating with Faculty, Engineering and management teams. Active engagement with internal and external stakeholders is essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and coordinate multiple (two or three) applied research projects at the institute, and other independent projects on a time-to-time basis
  • Represent PIs and scientists in project discussions, summarize, document and manage the project
  • Work closely with multiple stakeholders across different organizations, collaborating with Faculty, Engineering and management teams
  • Actively engage with internal and external stakeholders
  • Interface and engage with external organizations through reports, meetings and presentations in a proactive manner.
  • Help manage scope, timelines and quality of research output in projects
  • Recommend tools, methods and processes to help improve efficacy and efficiency of project tracking and execution
  • Serve as a single point contact for project related requests from stakeholders
  • Create, maintain and update presentations related to various project engagements

We are looking for an ideal candidate who meets these requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Master's degree is preferred) or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in a technical role interfacing between research/engineering teams and customer-facing teams
  • Basic familiarity with AI, machine learning concepts and applications
  • Good analytical skills
  • Ability to manage/understand cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to distil complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
