Senior Bookkeeper Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bookkeeper to join our team at a leading financial institution. As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of multi-unit clients, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have experience in SMB or franchise bookkeeping (multi-unit strongly preferred) and be proficient with QuickBooks Online, including classes/locations, bank rules, and recurring journals.

A strong understanding of accounting principles and practices is essential, as well as hands-on experience with at least one POS system and marketplace/aggregator reconciliations.

About the Role
  • You will be the day-to-day owner of franchise bookkeeping for multi-unit clients, running clean books at the location and consolidated levels.
  • You will ensure timely period closes and deliver unit economics that franchise owners use to make decisions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance of standardized chart of accounts by brand.
  • Reconciliation of bank/credit card/merchant accounts and third-party delivery or marketplace deposits.
  • Integration and reconciliation of data from various systems, including Toast, Square, Clover, Lightspeed, Revel, Shopify POS.
Requirements
  • 3+ years in SMB or franchise bookkeeping (multi-unit strongly preferred).
  • Proficient with QuickBooks Online (classes/locations, bank rules, recurring journals); Xero a plus.
  • Hands-on with at least one POS listed above and marketplace/aggregator reconciliations.
