Senior UAS Compliance Specialist

The Senior UAS Compliance Specialist plays a pivotal role in the R&D department, focusing on certification and compliance activities.

This role involves meticulous planning and execution of certification and compliance activities related to DGCA Type Certification, CEMILAC, FAA, EASA, Green & Blue UAS, and third-party laboratory tests. The candidate must stay updated on various National & International regulations regarding certification & compliance requirements for UAS in Civil and Defense sectors.

Closely working with Product management, V&V, E&E, SW, Design and Development, Prototype, production, Certification bodies, DGCA, QCI, BIS, DFI, AUVSI, CEMILAC, and external test laboratories is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to comprehend product requirements, generate proposal documents, and develop execution plans along with budgetary and timeline necessities.
  • Analyze Tender Documents, Scheme Documents, Compliance Standards, Drone Rules, and create test requirement proposals to obtain agreements with internal stakeholders.
  • Evaluate correct TC documentation, test executions, TC audits, and cooperate with CB for swift releases of SoCs.
  • Communicate effectively with external stakeholders like CB / ATE, DGCA, and QCI to understand the Product environment and compliances.
  • Timely study of regulatory drafts & feedbacks in the interest of the organization, analyze international regulations, and prepare presentations & compliance roadmaps.
  • Develop and maintain Certification roadmap in cooperation with Product management, adhering strictly to execution.
  • Plan and execute periodic internal audits to identify/analyze compliance risks and implement mitigation measures with respective departments.
Requirements:
  • B Tech / M Tech in Aeronautical / Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10-15 Years of Experience in Technical Compliances, minimum 5 years in UAS industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise and hands-on experience working with regulatory frameworks – National/International.
  • Proven experience with product testing, process analysis & certification activities.
