Job Title

A Lead Manufacturing Process Engineer will drive the development of new technologies to improve production efficiency, product quality and safety in our manufacturing processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements, implement new equipment or technology and ensure successful integration into existing systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality Control, Maintenance and other departments to understand current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement new manufacturing processes including automation solutions, robotics and advanced material handling systems.
  • Design and optimize manufacturing layouts to increase efficiency, reduce waste and enhance productivity.
  • Work with suppliers to evaluate new equipment and technologies, conduct feasibility studies and select appropriate equipment for specific manufacturing needs.
  • Implement and validate new equipment ensuring smooth integration with existing systems and minimizing disruption to production schedules.
  • Monitor performance metrics such as throughput, cycle time and waste levels to measure the effectiveness of implemented changes and make necessary adjustments.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience degree with 6 years in manufacturing process engineering.
  • Masters in Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodology.
  • Experience working with automated equipment and robotics in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines and organizational levels.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision making.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
