Senior Process Safety and HSE Specialist

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned process safety and HSE expert to join our organization as a Senior Process Safety and HSE Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process safety management, with experience in leading and facilitating hazard studies, safety philosophies, fire risk assessments, and hazardous area classification.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing QRA/FERA/ESSA and other safety studies with third parties if needed. You will also review P&IDs/layouts/equipment specs from a safety design perspective and support design reviews, management of change (MOC) and alarm rationalization.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive safety culture across project teams and subcontractors. They will be proficient in industry-standard tools such as PHAST/PHAPro/BowTie XP/DNV software and hold relevant certifications such as NEBOSH IGC/PMS or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate Hazard Studies, Safety Philosophies, Fire Risk Assessments, and Hazardous Area Classification
  • Develop QRA/FERA/ESSA and Other Safety Studies with Third Parties if Needed
  • Review P&IDs/Layouts/Equipment Specs from a Safety Design Perspective
  • Support Design Reviews, Management of Change (MOC), and Alarm Rationalization

HSE Management:

  • Safety Plans, Risk Assessments, Method Statements for Projects
  • Conduct Site HSE Inspections, Toolbox Talks, and Compliance Checks during Construction or Commissioning
  • Ensure Adherence to International HSE Standards OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001
  • Incident Investigation, Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Actions
  • Drive Safety Culture Across Project Teams and Subcontractors

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical/Process/Environmental/Safety Engineering
  • 8+ Years in Process Safety and HSE, Preferably in EPC/Design/Project Environments
  • PSM/Risk Assessment/HSE Regulations Knowledge
  • Proficient Tools Like PHAST/PHAPro/BowTie XP/DNV Software
  • Certifications: NEBOSH IGC/PMS, TüV Functional Safety, or Equivalent Preferred
