We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Associate to join our team at BHIVE Workspace. This role involves conducting legal research, drafting notices, liaising with external counsels, maintaining cause-lists, assisting with case management, and groundwork on registration of Lease Deeds, Service Agreements, etc.

  • With mandatory experience:
  • Draft Notices, Plaints, Written Statements, Synopsis and organize evidence and exhibits for trials and hearings
  • Collaborate with external counsels including senior advocates and their teams on case strategy and pleadings
  • Maintain cause-lists tracker and keep management updated on the status of cases
  • Maintain and organize legal files and documentation
  • Attend hearings, take adjournments/certified copies, handle authorities visiting the company's premises, visit police station to file case/FIR, etc. as required
  • Coordinate end-to-end process for Registration of Agreements in Sub Registrar's Office
  • Peruse Notices received from any customer, police, Govt. department, vendor, etc. and draft responses by coordinating with relevant departments, represent before the authority as in-house counsel
  • Actively coordinate with other functional areas for day-to-day legal matters such as issuance of notices, recovery of payments, disciplinary actions, etc.
  • Stay updated on legal trends and developments relevant to practice areas by researching relevant statutes, regulations, and case laws
  • Good to have experience:
  • Drafting, vetting, negotiating, and settling corporate agreements such as non-disclosure agreements, customer agreements, vendor agreements, channel partner agreements, etc.
  • Preparing and discussing strategies with management and external counsels to defend the company's legal cases

Qualifications and Experience:

  • LLB from a reputed college
  • 3-4 years of Litigations handling experience in a reputed law firm or in corporate
  • Familiarity with legal research tools (e.g., Livelaw, Manu Patra, Westlaw, LexisNexis)
