Transaction Analyst Job Description

The Transaction Analyst is a crucial role in the processing of financial transactions, events, or data within a functional team. This involves time-sensitive, complex, or regulated tasks that require interaction with internal and external parties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely, complete, and accurate processing of financial transactions, including relevant controls, within your area of responsibility.
  • Apply all internal and external policies, guidelines, and requirements of regulators and agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and quality measures.
  • Build and maintain relationships with front-office clients to provide a point of contact for time-sensitive, complex, or regulated tasks.
  • Provide input on product/function development to ensure a superior offering in response to changing client needs and market trends.
  • Elevate operational, regulatory, and other risks to line managers and functional leads as appropriate, and contribute to the development and implementation of mitigation or control solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience in one or more specific technical areas, with reconciliations experience being an added advantage.
  • Product and system knowledge in the product line.
  • Basic analytical skills, flexible regarding production problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and local language (written/verbal) as appropriate.
  • Ability to work in virtual teams and matrix organizations.
