Job Title: Site Project Manager

About the Role:

  • Monitor project execution on a daily basis to ensure it adheres to approved plans, specifications, and method statements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify quality or safety issues and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Verify that all materials used meet the required standards and are stored and handled correctly.
  • Evaluate workers' adherence to approved method statements and standard operating procedures for construction work.
  • Document inspection results and tests performed on-site, maintaining accurate records of construction progress, material usage, and labor hours.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and sub-contractors, to inform them of project progress and any arising issues.
  • Maintain quality standards according to QAP guidelines.
  • Ensure availability of materials, equipment, and labor.
  • Assume quality engineer responsibilities to some extent.
  • Guide working agencies on available work fronts.
  • Inspect and check all quality-related procedures at the site and ensure activities follow approved method statements, including closure of Non-compliance reports.
  • Perform daily inspections and tests to achieve the required quality of construction as specified in drawings and specifications for all works under the contract, either on or off-site.
  • Coordinate with the contractor's representative and site engineer-in-charge for inspections and adherence to quality aspects, including closure of Non-compliance reports.
  • Coordinate with the contractor's quality engineer for submission of material submittals with quality details.
  • Responsible for the quality and workmanship of every activity; possess thorough knowledge of engineering construction phases related to structural fabrication/erection, equipment erection/alignment, piping fabrication/erection, measurement verification, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate with the Civil department for equipment readiness for erection/release for grouting after alignment.
  • Monitor policies and procedures and report areas requiring improvement.
  • Check P&ID, Isometric drawings, MOC of equipment and piping, and assembly work regarding approved GA drawings and ensuring their adequacy.
  • Monitor insulation activities and work front releases after hydrostatic testing of piping/equipment.
  • maintain good professional relationships with clients and address major site concerns.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 12-15 years of experience in Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear and automation solutions plant.
  • Technical awareness of civil, electro-mechanical, and architectural works.
  • Excellent organizational and motivational skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
