Indirect Tax Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of indirect taxes, corporate tax, and international tax laws.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Reconcile input tax credit under GST, TDS reconciliations, and other required reconciliations under different tax laws.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and central government reporting requirements and regulatory filings.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, labor laws, and allied business laws applicable to the company.
  • Work closely with the international teams - Finance, Accounting, Legal, Tax etc.
  • Provide support on tax and regulatory compliances of overseas companies on a need-basis.
  • Support review and negotiation of contracts from an overall tax, commercial, finance, and regulatory perspective.
  • Update and implement the latest changes in laws as applicable on a timely basis.
  • Manage and comply with any other local, state, and central government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Support requirements of business and operations team in day-to-day functioning and new business initiatives.
  • Manage discussions and coordination with external consultants, lawyers, and tax & regulatory authorities including meetings/representations on behalf of the company.
  • Coordinate with external consultants, tax audit, internal audits, transfer pricing certifications etc.
  • Assist in financial/tax/regulatory diligence/audit by third parties.
  • Identify and drive automation and process improvements, including creation of SOP's standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and quick reference summary dashboards etc.

The ideal candidate will be a problem solver and take initiatives, proactively reach out to stakeholders to solve deadlock/issues.

Integrity, ability to handle confidential information, multitasking, and managing expectations of relevant stakeholders are essential qualities.

A positive attitude, good team player, willingness to learn, and flexibility to adapt into varied roles within the finance function are must-haves.
