Job Title: Robotics Engineering Leader

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on leader to spearhead robotic product development and oversee a high-performing mechanical design team. This leadership role requires end-to-end expertise in robotics, mechanical design, and manufacturing processes, with a focus on driving products from concept to production with innovation and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design & development of robotic products from concept to manufacturing.
  • Mentor and manage the mechanical design team, ensuring design best practices and timely delivery.
  • Utilize SolidWorks for 3D modeling, motion studies, assembly design & detailing.
  • Prepare manufacturing-ready drawings (GD&T, BOMs, tolerance stack-up).
  • Design for manufacturability – focus on sheet metal, cable routing, assembly optimization, machined parts.
  • Collaborate with technical leaders, vendors, and manufacturing teams for smooth execution.
  • Drive R&D initiatives, contribute to patents and IP filings.
  • Ensure documentation accuracy, design reviews, and compliance with industry standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 6-12 years of experience in robotics, industrial automation, or related fields.
  • Deep expertise in SolidWorks, including motion study, GD&T application, assembly design, and detailing.
  • Proven track record in leading product development from concept to manufacturing in the industrial domain.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication techniques: sheet metal design, cable routing, and machined parts integration.
  • Hands-on experience in preparing detailed BOMs, tolerance analysis, and DFM/DFA.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with a track record of building and mentoring high-performance teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of patent documentation and IP filing processes is an added advantage.
