About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced catastrophe modelling leader to join our team. As a key member of our risk assessment group, you will be responsible for managing a team of professionals and leading high-profile projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse team of 5-6 members, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop and implement effective risk assessment strategies for individual accounts or portfolios, leveraging your expertise in catastrophe modelling.
- Evaluate and improve the overall performance of our catastrophe modelling process, identifying opportunities for enhancement and innovation.
- Analyse complex data sets to accurately price accounts based on service level agreements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain exposure databases, guaranteeing their accuracy and integrity.
- Support underwriters with queries and exposure movement, providing timely and expert advice.
- Contribute to the development of new processes and procedures, sharing your knowledge and expertise to drive business growth.
Requirements:
- At least 6 years of experience in cat modelling/treaty modelling, preferably with insurance/reinsurance experience.
- Proficiency in AIR touchstone, SQL, and MS Office applications, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excel manipulation and functions at an advanced level, with experience in VBA programming language.
- Familiarity with insurance certification and projects in dissertation.
- Excellent communication and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
