Job Title:

Principal Cost Estimator

As a Principal Cost Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the cost estimation process for large-scale projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Leading the cost estimation process to ensure accurate assessment of costs and quantities.
  2. Reviewing and validating cost estimates for materials, labor, and overheads to guarantee alignment with project specifications.
  3. Collaborating with procurement, engineering, and project management teams to gather necessary data for cost estimation.
  4. Overseeing and mentoring junior cost estimators to ensure accuracy and timeliness of their work.
  5. Preparing final cost reports and supporting the estimation manager in presenting estimates to senior management and clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in cost estimation, with a focus on large-scale projects.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation and project management software.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and team management skills.
