Production Chemist

Sinterx Pharma Private Limited is seeking a talented Production Chemist to join our team.

This role involves working with chemical production batches, executing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure accurate and consistent product quality.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Assisting in the preparation and execution of chemical production batches.
  2. Managing pyrophoric reagents, Raney nickel, and operating pressure reactors (autoclave) according to company policies.
  3. Performing filtration of low-melting solids and applying optimal filtration techniques.
  4. Reporting any deviations from specifications and collaborating with senior chemists to troubleshoot and rectify issues.
  5. Maintaining accurate records of production activities, including batch records, test results, and deviations from standard procedures.
  6. Generating reports and summaries as required by the production and quality control teams.
  7. Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
  8. Identifying and reporting any safety hazards or concerns promptly.
  9. Operating production equipment such as reactors, mixers, and filters.
  10. Performing routine maintenance on equipment to ensure functionality.
  11. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and research and development.
  12. Communicating effectively with team members to ensure a smooth production process.
  13. Participating in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  14. Proposing ideas for optimizing production workflows.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Candidates should have an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in chemistry from a reputable university with high academic achievements.
  2. Individuals with up to 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical production sector are preferred.
  3. Strong willingness to learn, adapt, and work effectively as part of a team is essential.
  4. Desire to gain experience in leading and contributing to production is highly valued.
  1. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex scientific concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  2. Strong problem-solving abilities and a creative mindset to drive innovation and overcome scientific challenges.

Physical Demands:

The employee must monitor production processes closely, observing any deviations in chemical reactions or equipment performance. This requires strong visual acuity, fine motor skills for precise operation and adjustment of production equipment, and the ability to sustain focus for extended periods. The employee should also possess physical endurance to stand or move across the production floor for prolonged durations, handling machinery and monitoring production activities. Adherence to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment, is crucial due to potential exposure to hazardous chemicals and heavy machinery during production operations.
