Job Title: Mongo Database Engineer

As a Mongo Database Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable MongoDB solutions to meet the needs of our applications.

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Mongo DB engineer who can design, implement, and optimize database performance for our applications. Your responsibilities will include:
  1. Designing and implementing MongoDB schemas and data models tailored to application requirements.
  2. Writing complex MongoDB queries, aggregations, and indexes to support performance and scalability.
  3. Ongoing profiling and tuning of queries to ensure optimal database performance.
  4. Supporting data migrations, backups, and restorations.
  5. Collaborating with backend developers to integrate MongoDB with application logic using technologies like Node.js, Python, Java, etc.
  6. Ensuring data integrity and implementing security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
  7. Automating database deployments and operations using DevOps tools such as Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  8. Monitoring database health using tools like MongoDB Atlas, Ops Manager, or Prometheus combined with Grafana.

Requirements:
  • Extensive experience with MongoDB, with a focus on schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Node.js, Python, Java) and experience integrating MongoDB with web applications.
  • Strong understanding of database security, including authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms.
  • Experience with automation and DevOps tools (Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (MongoDB Atlas, Ops Manager, Prometheus, Grafana).
