Job Title

Backend Developer Position Available

We seek a highly skilled Backend Developer with extensive SQL expertise to lead the migration of data solutions from cloud-based systems to robust SQL-based platforms. The ideal candidate will possess at least 2+ years of professional experience in backend development and SQL, with the ability to craft, optimize, and deliver scalable data workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, refine, and maintain solutions to migrate data and processes from cloud-based services to SQL Server or other SQL platforms.
  • Design and implement backend services and APIs that integrate flawlessly with SQL databases.
  • Compose, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring scalability, security, and data integrity.
  • Apply best practices in data modelling, indexing, and performance tuning.
  • Participate in system design discussions, code reviews, and architecture planning.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of professional experience in backend development and SQL databases.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server (or equivalent relational databases).
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and database migration/ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in a backend programming language such as C#, Python, Java, or Node.js.
  • Experience with API development and integration.
  • Solid understanding of relational database design and normalization principles.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud services (Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, SQL Database, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in performance tuning of large-scale SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL or hybrid data solutions.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps for database deployments.
  • Understanding of data governance and compliance practices.
