Job Title: Building Information Modelling (BIM) Specialist

This role is focused on supporting project teams in the use of BIM authoring tools to deliver construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working with civil / structural engineering design or MEP engineering design, and supplementary experience in Navisworks, Bentley ProjectWise, Autodesk BIM360.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Support project teams in the use of BIM authoring tools
    • Holding weekly coordination meetings with team members
    • Creating internal BIM standards used in the projects like standards for the use of modelling tools, standards for creating object libraries etc.
    • Early design review and constructability analysis
    • Producing project Autodesk Revit and Civil 3D content
    • Selecting and implementing solutions to automate repetitive tasks like the use of Dynamo, new plugins etc
    • Development and maintenance of BIM project documentation e.g. BEP, MIDP & TIPD
    • Implementing and maintaining the project Common Data Environment (CDE)
    • Monitoring project compliance to agreed workflows
    • Federate models and perform clash detection reporting
    • Coordinate and delegate project tasks amongst team members.
    • Carry out BIM check of models and deliverables produced by team

Requirements:

  • Mandatory Requirements:
    • Candidate should have a strong background in either civil/structural engineering design or MEP engineering design.
    • Experience in using industry leading software such as Autodesk Revit and Civil 3D
    • Strong understanding of building information modelling principles and industry standards
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Desirable Requirements:
    • Candidate should have supplementary experience in Navisworks, Bentley ProjectWise, Autodesk BIM360
    • Candidate should be familiar with working to industry modelling standards such as ISO19650 / BS1192 / PAS1192-2
    • EngTech TMICE or similar qualification
