Job Title: Sustainability Finance Manager

Sustainability & Climate Risk Management

Incorporate sustainability and climate risk factors into financial planning, budgeting, and capital allocation to drive long-term growth. Develop strategic plans to integrate ESG considerations into daily operations.

  • Develop and implement sustainable financial models to inform investment decisions.
  • Support business cases for green projects and low-carbon transition strategies to enhance company value.
  • Track and report the financial performance of sustainability initiatives, including ROI of renewable energy projects and carbon pricing.

Sustainable Reporting & Disclosures

Prepare high-quality ESG and sustainability reports aligned with international standards, including GRI, TCFD, SASB, CDP, or CSRD frameworks. Ensure consistency between financial and non-financial reporting.

  • Lead preparation of ESG reports, including data collection and validation.
  • Collaborate with finance and sustainability teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and industry associations to stay up-to-date on evolving reporting requirements.

Green Finance & Investments

Support the development and issuance of green bonds, sustainability-linked loans, and other ESG-aligned financial instruments. Engage with investors and stakeholders on ESG-related financial disclosures.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with banks, rating agencies, and investors.
  • Monitor regulatory developments around sustainable finance and align internal practices.
  • Provide expert advice on ESG-related financial products and services.

Risk Management & Compliance

Identify and manage ESG-related financial risks, including carbon taxes, regulatory risks, and climate impacts. Ensure alignment with global standards and regulatory compliance in sustainability accounting.

  • Assist in developing and implementing ESG risk management policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date on evolving regulations and standards related to ESG risk management.

Stakeholder Engagement & Capacity Building

Engage with internal teams and external stakeholders on ESG performance metrics and best practices. Provide training and capacity building programs to develop expertise in sustainability and ESG reporting.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to develop and implement ESG performance metrics.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on ESG reporting and sustainability.
  • Build relationships with industry associations and professional organizations to stay informed on best practices.

Key Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Environmental Science. MBA, CFA, or sustainability certification (e.g., GARP SCR, SASB FSA Credential, IFRS S1/S2) preferred.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in finance, accounting, or sustainability roles. Experience in ESG reporting, green finance, or impact investing highly preferred.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, climate finance, and sustainability reporting standards. Financial modeling and business case development for sustainability projects. Excellent data analysis, reporting, and stakeholder management skills. Familiarity with ESG software/tools (e.g., Enablon, EcoVadis, Workiva).
