Senior Data Design Specialist

This position is for a highly skilled data design specialist to support our application separation program.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of relational data models, especially in Oracle-based systems and legacy applications. They should also be familiar with modern microservices-based architecture and data modeling techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and document existing relational data models, focusing on Oracle-based systems and legacy applications.
  • Identify dependencies, shared schemas, and tightly coupled data entities across business domains.
  • Define target-state logical and physical data models aligned with microservices and bounded context principles.
  • Design data partitioning, ownership boundaries, and communication patterns (e.g., eventing, API contracts) between microservices.

Requirements:

  • More than 10 years of experience in data architecture and enterprise data modeling.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with Oracle (PL/SQL, schema design, performance tuning).
  • At least 3 years of experience designing data models for microservices or distributed architectures.

This role is open to remote applicants who can work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
