Foundational Finance Professional

As a foundational finance professional, you will work in tandem with the founder to manage core financial operations. This role involves ensuring financial discipline and contributing to strategic decision-making across various business initiatives.

  • You will oversee end-to-end bookkeeping, bills receivable/payable tracking, and invoice management to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Additionally, you will be responsible for GST filings, tax return filings, and other statutory compliances as applicable to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Cash flow management and cost optimization tracking are crucial aspects of this role, requiring you to analyze financial data and make informed decisions to drive growth.
  • Financial planning, forecasting, and scenario modeling will also be part of your responsibilities, enabling you to develop and implement effective financial strategies.
  • Expense reporting, reconciliations, and building scalable financial systems will require you to leverage technical skills and tools to streamline financial processes.
  • Shadowing the founder in high-level meetings, fundraising conversations, and strategy discussions will provide you with valuable insights into key business decisions.
  • Supporting market analysis, pricing strategy, and business growth initiatives will enable you to contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans.
  • Creating board-level decks, reports, and dashboards will allow you to communicate complex financial information effectively to stakeholders.
  • Building and maintaining advanced financial models and dashboards will require you to utilize analytical skills and technical tools to drive business outcomes.
  • Analyzing KPIs, cost structures, and growth levers using Google Sheets/Excel and Power BI (or similar tools) will enable you to identify areas for improvement and optimize financial performance.
