Job Title: Software Engineer - Backend Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced software engineer to join our team as a backend developer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full-stack development, with expertise in Next.js, Node.js, Express, and TypeScript.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable, secure web applications using Next.js, Node.js, and TypeScript.
  • They will also be responsible for architecting and optimizing MongoDB schemas, queries, and indexes for performance.
  • A key responsibility of the role will be to own the deployment pipeline (CI/CD), cloud setup, and server scaling strategy.
  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge of security audits, scaling strategies, and API optimization.
  • Additionally, they will be expected to mentor and review work of junior developers to maintain code quality.
  • Troubleshooting performance bottlenecks and ensuring high uptime through monitoring, logging, and alerting will also be an essential part of the job.
  • Integrating with third-party APIs (payments, shipping, messaging, analytics, etc.) will be a significant aspect of the role.

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of experience in full-stack development.
  • Strong proficiency in Next.js, Node.js, Express, and TypeScript.
  • Expertise in MongoDB (schema design, indexing, aggregation pipelines).
  • Experience with cloud hosting & DevOps (AWS, GCP, or VPS setups, Docker, CI/CD).
  • Hands-on knowledge of security audits, scaling strategies, and API optimization.
  • Ability to mentor developers and enforce coding standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and system design skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of Redis/queues for caching and job processing.
  • Experience with payment gateways (Razorpay/Stripe), Twilio/WhatsApp APIs.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL, serverless functions, or microservices.
  • Exposure to observability tools (Grafana, ELK stack, Prometheus, Datadog).
