ETL Tester Job DescriptionJob Overview

An ETL Tester is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data extracted, transformed, and loaded into a database.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute test plans to validate ETL processes and data migrations
  • Develop complex SQL queries to analyze and validate data
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies and performance issues
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement data quality improvements
RequirementsEssential Skills
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and database management systems
  • Experience with ETL tools and frameworks such as Informatica, Talend, or DataStage
  • Knowledge of data profiling and validation techniques
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
Desirable Skills
  • Hands-on experience with testing dashboard frontends and backend services
  • Familiarity with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is required. Proven experience (3+ years) as an ETL Tester, Data QA Analyst, or similar role is essential.
