Production Planning and Control Manager

The successful candidate will lead and manage production planning activities in the corrugation plant, ensuring optimum resource utilization, timely order execution, cost efficiency, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production plans in alignment with sales orders and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust plans to meet changing priorities and urgent requirements.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of plant capacity and minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate with production, maintenance, and quality teams for smooth operations.
  • Drive efficiency improvements in corrugation, printing, slotting, and finishing processes.
  • Ensure inventory levels of raw material, paper reels, inks, and adhesives are maintained as per production requirements.
  • Lead, guide, and mentor production planning & shop-floor teams.
  • Foster collaboration across sales, procurement, logistics, and quality departments for seamless order execution.
  • Ensure proper workforce allocation and shift planning.
  • Implement lean manufacturing practices, process optimization, and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Track KPIs like machine efficiency, productivity, wastage, and downtime.
  • Propose and implement cost-effective measures to improve overall plant performance.
  • Ensure timely order fulfillment with adherence to quality standards.
  • Address bottlenecks and proactively resolve issues impacting delivery commitments.
  • Drive continuous improvement to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all safety, statutory, and environmental norms are adhered to in plant operations.
  • Promote a culture of workplace safety and hygiene
Requirements:
  • Minimum 12 to 15 years of experience into production and planning function of automated corrugated box manufacturing company.
  • Qualification – Any BE or Diploma or graduate (Fulltime pass out only)
